During this difficult time of Covid-19, Our Doctors at My Medical & Dental Centre Springfield Orion have decided that we will BULK BILLING ALL MEDICARE CARD HOLDER PATIENTS for their standard consult to assist our patients during this difficult time.
All Medicare fees have been frozen since 2012, this means that although, Cost of living and cost of doing business continues to rise, the Medicare rebates and subsidies are stagnate. This medicare rebate freeze was introduced as a “temporary” measure in 2013 as part of a A$664 million budget savings plan. However, on being elected to office in 2014, the Coalition froze the rebate after the failure of a number of proposed health policies. The rebate was frozen initially for four years, starting in July 2014 and been extended in 2016 federal budget to 2020 and potential beyond.
